Whether you're a newly licensed landscape architect or someone who has been in the field for decades, you need appropriate stamps and seals. Rubber stamps can add vibrant marks onto documents, while embossing seals create raised impressions on paperwork.
Ohio has a set of unique requirements about how the stamp or seal should look and what information should be placed on official documents. This guide is designed to provide you with the most current regulations about Ohio stamps and seals so you can make sure your office is ready for business.
Ohio Landscape Architect Seal Requirements
When selecting a rubber stamp or embosser, you need to make sure it meets the five requirements below:
- Both rubber stamps and embossing seals are allowed to be used.
- The seals should include the use of a rope border.
- Stamps and seals are required to be exactly 2 inches in diameter.
- The landscape architect's name should be broken up across two to three lines.
- All items must include the use of the word "Registered."
In Ohio, you can use seals, stamps, or digital images, but each must be 2 inches in diameter. The seals need to be circular in shape and include two circles. The middle circle should measure 1-3/8 inches in diameter. Between these knurled circles, the top should read "State of Ohio," while the bottom should say "Registered Landscape Architect."
The registrant's name will be placed in a horizontal position in the middle of the seal, along with the certificate number. The seal needs to use "Registered" and have the Ohio landscape architect's name broken across three lines.
